Hell’s Gate National Park, located near Lake Naivasha in Kenya, is one of the few parks where you can walk or cycle among wildlife. The park is named for its dramatic cliffs and geothermal activity, which inspired the fictional “Pride Rock” in Disney’s The Lion King.
The area sits along the Great Rift Valley, a tectonic wonder marked by volcanic activity. The Olkaria Geothermal Spa (also called SPA Resort) is a man-made hot pool heated by geothermal energy from the nearby Olkaria Geothermal Power Plant, Africa’s first of its kind. The spa’s warm, mineral-rich waters provide a relaxing experience amidst stunning scenery.
